The song “First to Know” by Laurie Cagno and John Lerner is a heartfelt piece that explores the message of love, longing, and the desire to be the first to know someone’s feelings. The lyrics convey a sense of vulnerability and the importance of communication in a relationship. The song is available for streaming and purchase on Bandcamp, where listeners can also find other works by Laurie Cagno.

Echoes of Faith Church, Vegas days. Wow, from there to hear and now. Full circle. Amen.

A glimpse of back story: Me from New Jersey and John in Vegas. There we went into Blue Diamond Recording Studio, result five originals (3) cover songs. Hmm. Heard by few. Never released, until recently. Twenty years later. All songbook style love songs written arranged for piano and vocal.  ~ John Nicholas Lerner

John and me in Vegs for his surprise birthday party 2024. Oh, what fun…

The Quarter inch tape was buried alive at the bottom of a well-aged box of books that I carried around for years! Then lent to a friend’.  Landed in his basement for a while, then returned when he called to tell me he was moving. Lucky for us he asked if I wanted my books back and indeed, I said yes please thank you. How thoughtful and considerate. Thus, come to discover…Wow, what are the odds.

An interesting fact about us:                      Back in the early days, by unanimous vote the name of my first William Paterson College rock-n-roll band was called, Love All People. Located in NJ.  Three years later I moved to Las Vegas with my mom to live near Grandma Marie. I asked her where I could find a good church. She smiled and guided me to a multi-racially cultured youth group music ministry called by the same name, Love All People! And, thus, what are these odds.

We all traveled the USA when and wherever the divine-curtain-called. Over 365 shows in one year. (Approx. 50pp.) John was the co-founder-the Dean of Music. A beloved family man, one of my first mentors, a cherished life-long friend.

With deepest love and respect: John Nicolas Lerner, a veteran served in the USA army in Alaska as the orchestra band leader, arranger. We celebrated in Vegas his surprise 80th birthday July 2023. Still going strong, writing beautiful songs that I am blessed to sing, and share with all of you. Grateful, I am.

Reminder: Assume nothing ever. God really does work in mysterious ways. Happy listening surfing all menu-waves (top right or bottom on cell) Calling on our angels. You are sorely missed and fondly thought of often. Grateful, I am for our time together.
